Mr. Carter joins us for another show in the studio/living room and, as always, it’s a whole lotta fun.
Allison is here too…the whole gang’s back together!
Mr. Carter joins us for another show in the studio/living room and, as always, it’s a whole lotta fun.
Allison is here too…the whole gang’s back together!
Happy post Memorial Day and a mighty thank you to all who serve in any military…Isis excluded.
This week I’m just finishing my stint on the Norwegian Getaway and I’m talking to dueling pianist Orin Sands. Orin and I first met each other waaaay back in 1997 when we both worked in Miami; him at the Howl at the Moon and me at the neighboring Improv Comedy Club. Haven’t seen him in 15 years so it was very cool to hang out again.
We chat about his beginnings with Howl, a couple of times he opened for some big names and his working in Holland…including a scary moment with immigration.
Hey kids, welcome to part 2 of my chat with Dean Edwards (www.DeanEdwards.net).
We are sitting in my cabin aboard the Norwegian Getaway and we continue talking about comedy, life and all things Dean.
Hey kids, welcome to episode 154 – a 2 part episode really – aboard the Norwegian Getaway. This week I’m sitting with comedian/actor/all around nice guy Dean Edwards (www.DeanEdwards.net).
We had so much fun talking about comedy and his stint on Saturday Night Live that we talked much longer than usual, so this is the first part of our talk.
This is mainly about his SNL tenure and his comedy.
It’s May the 5th, that means that all the Star Wars nerds have calmed down from yesterday…and all the Star Trek fans are still pissed there’s no date that sounds like “live long and prosper”.
This week we’re talking to you from the green room at Flappers Comedy Club in Burbank (www.FlappersComedy.com) and we’re sitting with Tom & Dex Carvey (@DexCarvey). These two brothers are very funny and are the offspring of Dana Carvey.
We talk about a lot of things like good comedy rooms vs. bad ones, how they started in comedy & a possible brother act. Plus Skippy Greene – always the charmer – makes things REALLY awkward.
It’s been a few months so it’s time for another visit from the parter starter, Darren Carter (www.DarrenCarter.com).
Darren sits with me in the studio/living room and we talk about magic, Indians (which I am one of…well, you’ll see) and Darren tells a story of a scary thing he found in the bathroom of a restaurant.
Picture below…though it’s a spoiler.
Spoiler picture below
Well, well, well, what do we have here? It’s Brian Scolaro (www.BrianScolaro.com), one of my absolute favorite comedians out there.
This week he sits with us in the studio/living room and (after he and Allison take their medicine) we talk a lot about movies, did an 80’s movie quiz and then just talked some comedy. As always, it was a lot of fun.
“150 episodes!? Are you serious??” I said to myself. “Yes I am!”, I yelled back to myself.
Hey guys, welcome to the show. This week I’m back on the Norwegian Getaway talking with mentalist Sean-Paul (www.IntrigueTheater.com). Sean-Paul is part of the Illusionarium show on the ship and he (and his partner Julianna) are amazing.
Sean-Paul and I discuss how he got into mentalism, what it’s like performing for less than stellar crowds, how he met his partner and a show that they do when they’re not on the ship. It’s really a fun, interesting episode…and that background noise you hear at the beginning of the show; well we’re in a green room while the beginnings of an art auction start in the main room.
Oh ship life.
This is it, our last podcast at the SLOFest and we are ending with some industry insight with producer Joshua Sandoval (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm3299883/).
I’ve known Joshua for a little while now (he actually gave Skippy Greene one of his first TV appearances…and the world is a better place for that) and he has always been a great supporter and friend. This week we talk about his take on the festival, what industry seems to be looking for and why we love the Improv so much. (www.Improv.com).
Once again I’m coming to you from the 2015 SLOFest and this week I’m with some newer comedy friends, David Beck (www.WhoIsDavidBeck) and AJ Finney (www.AJFinney.com).
These guys are what we in the business call “Road Dogs”; they drive a long way to make you laugh…this week not an exception. (They drove together for 28 hours!). We swap similar driving stories, comedy show etiquette and comedy show stories.
Allison and Skippy make appearances, so that’s always fun.
Greetings again from the high seas…well not “high”; let’s just call it the “slightly drunk seas”.
This week I’m talking with the other comedian on the ship, Phil Palisoul (www.PhilPal.com). Phil’s an amazing comic and writer and we talk about our early days of comedy, how he started as a writer for TV and our own philosophies on comedy.
Greetings, this week I’m taking a break from the SLOFest interviews and I’m back on the Norwegian Getaway with comedian Warren B. Hall (www.WarrenBHall.com).
Warren is an amazing comic; really one of the best I’ve worked with in a long time. This week we just shit the shoot and talk about cruise comedy vs. club comedy, why his room is smaller than mine and the first time he got punched.
Hello again from the SLOFest! We are having an amazing time here and my guest is part of the reason; it’s returning guest Suli McCullough (http://www.SuliMccullough.com).
Suli is an incredible comedian (he was actually voted one of the top 7 Best of the Fest this year) and we always have fun together. This show was great (although there was a technical error; sorry about that), we talked about critics, comics who can’t “turn it off” and my lack of seeing any Spike Lee movies.
Hey, Allison (www.AllisonComedy.com) and Skippy (www.SkippyGreene.com) are here too.
Greetings from the 2015 San Luis Obispo Comedy Festival (www.SLOFest.com)! This is such an amazing festival with incredible talent from (literally) all over the world.
And over the next month you’ll hear from just a few of those talented people. This week I’m sitting with one of my oldest friends in comedy, Dale Jones (www.DaleJonesComedy.com) and his lovely and hilarious wife Jodi White (www.JodiWhiteComic.com). We talked about comedy, our old toy collections and how Dale would NOT survive the zombie apocalypse.
Skippy Greene and Allison are here too! Enjoy!
He’s baaaack! The ever popular and awesomely party startering Darren Carter (www.DarrenCarter.com) joins us this week in the studio/living room.
This week we talk about some road stories, his being a dad, the Superbowl and Darren reveals his new character, “Raw”.
Welcome back to the studio/living room my friends. This week comedian Kareem Matthews (@kareemmatthews) joins me and Allison for the show.
We talk about his beginnings in comedy, some topical things in the news and at one point when the subject of “the law of attraction” comes up, Allisons’ eyes widened and she and Kareem bond.
Welcome back to the comedy couple collision!
This week is the second part of last week…makes sense, doesn’t it?
Again, we chat about comedy, life and silly things that we discover. And Skippy Greene makes an appearance as well.
What a show, what a show, what a show! As you can tell I’m excited.
This week we have another comedy couple, Dante (www.ComicDante.com) & Rebekah Kochan (@RebekahKochan) in the studio/living room. They are incredibly fun and funny folks. This show was so much fun that it’s being split into 2 parts. Lucky you…
We talked about comedy and some of the things we have in common…you’ll find out a biggie at the end of the show…also I think Allison and Rebekah are in love.
Halo everyone and welcome to ep. 139.
This week it’s me and the lovely missus (www.AllisonComedy.com) just having a relaxing talk in the studio/living room.
We reminisced about our awful fashion sense when we were younger and figured out what we’d name our kid with a new game. Hint: My kids’ name will be AWESOME!
Hey guys, what can I say…I got behind on the show and didn’t have a new interview this week, so I decided to give you a free show. Haven’t done this in awhile, but I think you’ll really like this.
It was a show from the cruise and it was really fun, and at the end my buddy Brandon Kent (www.BrandonKentPiano.com) joined me and we did some improv.
Happy 2015 ya’ll!!!! Hope you guys had a great new year; I’ve already broken my resolutions. The first was to be more modest, the second was to be less perfect.
This week in the studio/living room we’re talking to the one and only Darren Carter (www.DarrenCarter.com). We recorded this before I left for the cruise, so some of the dates and references are a little old (wow, a month ago is a little old; jeez, our attention spans have shrunk a lot!)
Allison is here as well, so enjoy!
Third week on the ship and I still haven’t gotten sea sick; one week to go. Fingers crossed.
This week I’m joined in the studio/cabin with my buddy and dueling piano player, Brandon Kent (www.BrandonKentPiano.com). He’s a really great guy and fantastic musician; we actually do a bit of improv at the end of my show.
On the show we talk about the similarities between dueling piano players and comics: traveling, hotels, shit gigs, etc.
PS-What do you do when a piano player gets too drunk? Take away his keys. Thank you! I’ll be here all week!
And so we have podcast #2 coming from the open sea…by “open sea” I mean the ocean, not a description of a slutty woman’s genitalia.
This week I’m talking with fellow ship board comedian Lucas Bohn (www.LucasBohn.com). We talk about working on a cruise ship (he works a few of them) and some road stories about shitty condos.
Lucas is introduced to Skippy Greene…and since that meeting, Lucas has become a fan to point of doing his own Skippy impression. Ah, the power of filth.
Hey, nice to see you’re back…and your front.
This week Allison and I are joined by comedian Jay Davis (www.JayDavisComedy.com). Jay is one of the most driven comics I’ve ever met. We talk about his early career a bit and how he started one of the best and hippest comedy rooms in LA; and how he continues to do it. Plus stories about his touring with Dane Cook during Tourgasm.
Skippy takes advantage of Jay’s ADD as well.
Hey guys, welcome to Tuesday; how’s it looking for you? Good.
Today we’re joined by comedian/actor Richard Chassler (www.RichardChassler.com). Richard has been in the game for a little while, so we swapped great road stories and had some laughs.
Of course Allison and Skippy are here; and thank Jebus for that.
Happy Thanksgiving week to you guys!…and to anyone outside of the USA; hi.
This week it’s just me and the missus. We talk a bit about Thanksgiving and Allison explains her alternative name for the holiday along with a few others. We also play a game based on suggestions from a listener.
Yes, it’s a fun filled episode. If was anymore filled with fun it would be funner filled. I dunno.
Yes, it’s the conclusion of the Darren Carter interview (www.DarrenCarter.com) from last week. Aren’t you on pins & needles to find out what happens??? Don’t forget to get Darren’s new CD “Stay At Home Stripper” and you can pre-order my new CD “Welcome to Elbow” on my website.
Hey everyone, hope you had a great weekend.
This week on the show is the unofficial co-host/most visited guest/good buddy/Ginger American, Darren Carter (www.DarrenCarter.com). We actually broke this show into two parts because we were having so much fun.
Hola mi amigos! Very excited that Dom Irrera (www.DomIrrera.com) is on the show today. I mean this guy is one of the best, well respected and hilarious comics ever! He was actually listed on Comedy Central’s Top 100 Comics of All Time!
And he’s one of the coolest guys you’ll ever meet, as you will hear in this episode.
Enjoy the Dom.
Hop in bed with me and Allison…no, not literally you pervs, I mean that we are doing a podcast while lying in bed in our hotel room here in Columbia, MO.
Allison (www.DirtyGuitarGirl.com) and I discuss her amazing memory, first dirty words we learned and Skippy Greene’s sister, Slappy, shows up!
Hey guys. On this episode I’m actually using another podcasts studios. Feels naughty.
I’m with Patrick Melton (www.pmelt.com) at his NLO Studios for this show. It was a fun show, little geeky because I was pissed about my broken mac (which is now working), we also took calls and pretty much acted like goofballs.
Enjoy the goofiness!
“Dinner time kids! Wash your hands, set the table”…sorry, had a flashblack to my childhood.
Anyway, welcome to another episode. This week comedian, friend and all around awesome person Jodi Miller comes to the studio/living room. (www.JodiMillerComedy.com) We talk about comedy, a really amazing military tour we had, cats (ours were being bitchy then nice to her) and Jodi’s experience on this season’s America’s Got Talent…and how she recovered with one audience remark. Really a cool story.
Hey guys, it’s me…Flip!
This was such a fun show; it was the first Allison & Me only show in a long time. And on this episode we each revealed a bad habit that we both had that lasted waaaay too long.
Trust me, after finding out what Allison’s old habit was, you’ll understand why she seems like an 8 year old trapped in an adult’s body.
And, thanks to a loyal listener, we figured out what the song was that Allison was trying to find last week…and we play the hilariously sexist song in it’s entirety.
Oh man, look who’s on the show, that can only mean one thing…I’m back in LA in the studio/living room.
So good to be home with Allison and to have one our favorite guests/people on the show, Darren Carter. (www.DarrenCarter.com)
We chit chat about a bunch of stuff including dinner, comedy and Darren’s new CD, “Stay At Home Stripper” which comes out soon!
Hi guys! Been too long.
This week I’m back aboard the Norwegian Getaway and I’m sitting with comedian/magician Bruce Gold (www.BruceGold.com).
We chat about comedy, touring, shitty condos and magic.
Greetings from the Norwegian Getaway. This week I’m sitting down and chatting with fellow comedian Scott Henry (www.ScottHenry.com).
This week I hang out with ‘The Funky Buddha Crew’…and no, that’s not some rap group or dance posse; I just didn’t want to write all of the names of the local south Florida comedians I was talking too outside of The Funky Buddha.
It’s a very spontaneous podcast this week, so forgive some audio popping and enjoy the fun!
Happy Tuesday everyone! Welcome to episode 120 with Darren Carter…who’s been at the studio/living room so many times he has started paying rent. Kidding.
This episode was really fun; Darren basically came in and said “Hey man, you’ve got to hear these old, racist songs I found online.” And I’ve got to say that times, they have definitely changed.
Heddy-Hiddi-Ho!…di. On this episode I’m sitting in a hotel in Ft. Myers, FL. with comedian Lisa Corrao (www.LisaCorrao.com).
It’s always great to see Lisa, whom I’ve been able to watch blossom into a really great comic. We talk about some road stories (both fun & awful) and how she could become a great fisherman with her private parts. Don’t ask, just listen.
Heyo! Nice to see you guys…well, I’m not “seeing” you or anything like that, but you’re seeing these words…so let me rephrase, nice to be read (red) by you.
This week I’m coming from the green room of the new McCurdys Comedy Club (www.McCurdysComedy.com) talking to owner/comedian Les McCurdy.
Welcome to the dinner party…it’s like the Donner Party, except everyone gets out unharmed. This week Darren Carter – who should be living at my apartment at this point – joins me once again. As always, it’s a blast.
We actually talk a bit about our dinner, then things shift to secrets, depressing songs and…well, weird shit. Literally.
**SORRY FOR THE LATE UPLOAD***
Greetings from high atop the mountains of Lake Tahoe. Lake Tahoe, btw, is an old Indian phrase meaning “Lake of The Hoe’s”. A lot of slutty native Americans up here.
Anyway….this week comic/actor/writer Suli McCullough (www.SuliMcCullough.com) sits down with me and Allison in the studio/hotel room.
Greetings friends, family & familiar people…sorry, trying to go for that “f” alliteration. This week I’m joined by comedians Matt Iseman (www.MattIseman.com) & PJ Walsh (www. PJWalsh.com).
This week friend/comic/frequent guest/pretty much co-host, Darren Carter (www.DarrenCarter.com) comes back!
Much like bobbing for boobies, it’s always fun. Enjoy.
Hey guys, this week it’s just me and the missus. From disgusting food to comedy, this episode has it all. Enjoy!
Hey guys, welcome to Ep. 112. This being the week after Father’s Day, I decided to sit with my Dad and ask him some questions that I never knew the answers to. Some of them he didn’t even have an answer for.
Welcome to #111 where my guest is comedian, friend and all around ball of fun, Dale Jones (www.DaleJonesComic.com).
Enjoy the hilarity!
Greetings to you all on this wonderful Tuesday. Hope you guys are ready for some fun, because today one of our favorites & regulars, Darren Carter (www.DarrenCarter.com) stops by.
This week Darren, myself and Allison (yay) just shoot the ol’ proverbial shit; topics include fast food, running a few jokes by each other and our Fred Stoller impressions. And, as you can see, Allison is VERY relaxed during the show.
PS-There’s some big news coming regarding the podcast; stay tuned.
How’d you do, I….Think you’d know by….Now I’m quoting Rocky Horror.
Greetings, this week I’m all by my lonesome in the studio/living room and in a Rocky Horror mood. I’ll be honest, this show is more about me rambling about career, life & getting older; not too funny, but…interesting.
So enjoy my inner monologue.
Greetings from the home of my guest, comedian Brett Riley (www.BrettRiley.com)…that’s right, this week I’m in a different studio/living room.
Brett’s an amazing and fast rising star on the comedy scene, not to mention he’s an amazing singer (as you’ll hear about today). We talk about comedy, a commercial that he recent shot (along with a story about almost being head-butted by a bull) and about his growth as a person and a comedian….oh, and how it GREAT it feels to have a hot girl want to f**k you.
